Whew! It’s already November and you’re more than halfway through the fall semester. Let’s celebrate.  This week is International Education Week at Arizona State University. Nationally founded in 2000, this joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education is part of the United States’ efforts to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn and exchange experiences. This year, International Education Week is Nov. 16-20. Through a variety of virtual programs and events, all of ASU will celebrate our diverse global community, prepare Sun Devils for a global environment, and encourage Sun Devils to study abroad, learn and exchange experiences. The ISSC hopes you can join us for two events amongst a variety listed on the International Education Week website: Join us for a night of trivia and other interactive games themed on international topics. This event will be held through Zoom on Monday, Nov. 16 from 7 to 9 p.m. Please register for this event by clicking here. Make new friends and build your community at the socially distanced International Speed Friending event on Tuesday, Nov. 17 from 7 to 9 p.m. on the 3rd floor patio of the Student Services Building. The ISSC is taking extra care to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Masks will be required at all times during the event and everyone will be given supplies to disinfect their hands and spaces they are seated at.  We look forward to seeing you at these events! Please contact the ISSC with any questions at 480-727-4776 or ISSC@asu.edu.
