
The Tempe Community Council Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program has arranged for trained volunteers to assist ASU’s international students and scholars in preparing and filing their U.S. tax returns. You are eligible to attend a VITA tax filing workshop if you are a current ASU student or scholar or were enrolled as a student during the 2022 tax year and any of the following apply to you:
If you did not earn any income from U.S. sources during the 2022 tax year and will be submitting only IRS Form 8843, you do not need to access Sprintax or attend a VITA tax workshop. VITA volunteers will guide you through the preparation of your federal and state tax returns using Sprintax. All tax filing workshops will be held via Zoom.
To attend a VITA group workshop, you must register no later than the day before the workshop is scheduled. Please have the following documents with you when you attend the workshop:
