Arizona State University’s International Students and Scholars Center must register all international students in SEVIS to confirm your student status with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security upon your arrival to the U.S. Failure to maintain your student status will cause your SEVIS record to be terminated.Is this your first semester at ASU or did you transfer from Global Launch or another school?All new and transfer international students, and international students returning to ASU after a semester or more away, must complete SEVIS Check-in on My ASU no later than Aug. 22, 2019.How to check inAfter you arrive in the U.S., you can use your smartphone or computer to complete your SEVIS Check-in. Report your arrival by following these two simple steps:Upload copies of your immigration documents by signing in to My ASU and clicking on Complete SEVIS Check-in under your Priority Tasks.Update your local U.S. phone number, local U.S. address and SEVIS address (outside the U.S.) online in My ASU by clicking the Profile tab.Important notesFailure to complete your SEVIS Check-in with the International Students and Scholars Center in a timely manner will result in the loss of your F-1 or J-1 status, and your SEVIS record will be terminated. J-1 students whose DS-2019s were not issued by ASU, such as IIE-Fulbright, LASPAU and AMIDEAST, must report to the responsible officer who signed their DS-2019 for SEVIS program validation. Please contact the ISSC at 480-727-4776 or issc@asu.edu with any questions
