We’re excited about the start of a new semester at Arizona State University.New studentsAll new students (including transfer students) must complete the SEVIS new student check-in no later than Jan. 8, the first day of spring classes. Use your smartphone or computer to complete the SEVIS new student check-in to report your arrival by following these three simple steps:Sign in to My ASU and click on Complete SEVIS Check-in under Priority Tasks.Complete all five SEVIS check-in items, including uploading copies of your immigration documents.Update your local address, SEVIS address and phone number online at My ASU.Continuing studentsIf you are a continuing student who was enrolled in the fall 2017 semester and has maintained full-time status, you will be automatically registered in SEVIS for the spring 2018 semester, and do not need to report to the International Students and Scholars Center.J-1 sponsored studentsIf you are a J-1 student sponsored by IIE-Fulbright, LASPAU or AMIDEAST, you must report to the responsible officer who signed your DS-2019 for SEVIS program validation. Failure to complete the SEVIS check-in in a timely manner will result in the loss of F-1 status and your SEVIS record will be terminated. Terminated records are subject to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement review, which could result in deportation. Please contact the International Students and Scholars Center with any questions at 480-27-4776 or issc@asu.edu.
