Arizona State University’s International Students and Scholars Center must register all international students in SEVIS to confirm your student status with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security upon your arrival to the U.S. Failure to maintain your student status will cause your SEVIS record to be terminated.
All new and transfer international students, and international students returning to ASU after a semester or more away, must complete SEVIS Check-in on My ASU no later than Aug. 22, 2019.
After you arrive in the U.S., you can use your smartphone or computer to complete your SEVIS Check-in. Report your arrival by following these two simple steps:
Failure to complete your SEVIS Check-in with the International Students and Scholars Center in a timely manner will result in the loss of your F-1 or J-1 status, and your SEVIS record will be terminated.
J-1 students whose DS-2019s were not issued by ASU, such as IIE-Fulbright, LASPAU and AMIDEAST, must report to the responsible officer who signed their DS-2019 for SEVIS program validation.
