We’re excited about the start of a new semester at Arizona State University.New studentsAll new students (including transfer students) must complete the SEVIS new student check-in no later than Jan. 8, the first day of spring classes. Use your smartphone or computer to complete the SEVIS new student check-in to report your arrival by following these three simple steps:Sign in to My ASU and click on Complete SEVIS Check-in under Priority Tasks.Complete all five SEVIS check-in items, including uploading copies of your immigration documents.Update your local address, SEVIS address and phone number online at My ASU.Continuing studentsIf you are a continuing student who was enrolled in the fall 2017 semester and has maintained full-time status, you will be automatically registered in SEVIS for the spring 2018 semester, and do not need to report to the International Students and Scholars Center.J-1 sponsored studentsIf you are a J-1 student sponsored by IIE-Fulbright, LASPAU or AMIDEAST, you must report to the responsible officer who signed your DS-2019 for SEVIS program validation. Failure to complete the SEVIS check-in in a timely manner will result in the loss of F-1 status and your SEVIS record will be terminated. Terminated records are subject to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement review, which could result in deportation.
