A reminder to all STEM OPT individuals that mandatory reporting is required every six months. 

For spring and fall graduates, the 6 month and 18 month reporting intervals are occurring around this time. You will receive email reminders from both SEVP and ISSC with your deadline, but it is up to you to remember to report! 
 

• When is my deadline? STEM OPT students are required to report every 6 months from their start date. You can calculate your 6 month reporting by adding 6 months from the start date on your EAD card. 
• Report to ISSC via our eForm. Though the email from SEVP mentions ‘contacting your DSO’, a separate email to ISSC is not necessary! Only our STEM OPT Extension: Reporting eForm is required. 
• No job changes? A validation report every six months is still required, even if no employment changes have occurred. 
• Remember your reporting window. ISSC can log your report up to 30 days before your reporting deadline. We can’t log your report if you submit too early!
• Reporting not approved by deadline? Our office can still finalize your reporting even after your deadline. Just make sure that you submit your STEM OPT Extension: Reporting eForm by the deadline!
