Please review any updates from the International Students and Scholars Center and Immigration and Travel Resources prior to your travel dates and submit your request for a travel signature now to avoid any delays.The following information will assist you in determining whether or not you will need to obtain a travel signature.When traveling outside the U.S.Check page 2 of your I‐20 or page 1 of your DS‐2019 for a valid travel signature. Travel signatures are required to re-enter the U.S.For current students, travel signatures are valid for one year from the date last signed (including CPT and Pre-Completion OPT).For students on  Post-Completion OPT or STEM OPT, signatures are valid only for six months from the date last signed.When traveling within the U.S.You do not need a travel signature, but you must carry identification documents with you, including your I‐20 or DS‐2019, and your I‐94 and valid passport.Getting a travel signature is easy. F-1 studentsSubmit an electronic travel signature request.J-1 students (DS-2019 issued by ASU)Drop off your most current DS-2019 at the ISSC to initiate your travel signature request.J-1 students sponsored by IIE-Fulbright, LASPAU or AMIDEASTContact your program sponsor directly for travel signature information.Travel signatures can take time to process.  Please plan ahead.Processing time is seven to 10 business days. The travel signature priority date for the spring semester is Friday, April 6, 2018. Travel signature requests submitted by the priority date are guaranteed to be reviewed and processed by April 27, the last day of the spring semester.
