The International Students and Scholars Center is excited to announce that applications for the Inspiring Global Citizens Award are now being accepted. In addition to recognizing the amazing work of graduating international Sun Devils, winners will also receive a $500 award. The application is open until 5 p.m. Arizona time on Monday, Nov. 14.

The Inspiring Global Citizens Award is part of the Global Citizens’ Initiative and highlights someone who identifies as being part of an emerging world community; and whose actions, scholarship, leadership, and ambassadorship contribute to building community values and practices.

Students interested in the award should provide evidence of the following:

• Scholarship — demonstrating a high level of academic achievement in their area of study or discipline (i.e., a 3.00 GPA or higher for an undergraduate student and a 3.50 GPA or higher for a graduate student).
• Leadership — demonstrating an ability to lead, guide and inspire others in their pursuit of academic and extracurricular activities.
• Ambassadorship — demonstrating a commitment to raising awareness within ASU’s community on a social or cultural issue affecting their own community.
