The International Students and Scholars Center at Arizona State University has an important update regarding our Drop-In Advising service. As a reminder, Drop-In Immigration Advising is only for students needing help with complex F-1 immigration issues who want to meet one-on-one with an ISSC advisor. Unfortunately, ISSC advisors may not be able to advise on situations unrelated to F-1 immigration issues. You may need to speak with an experienced immigration attorney.  

Beginning Monday, July 31, we will begin offering In-Person Drop-In Immigration Advising at the Tempe campus. For advising hours on the other ASU campuses, please visit our webpage. 

After receiving feedback from students, we are confident this new approach to advising will provide you with a better experience during your time at ASU, and give you more options to connect with us in a timely and accessible manner. 

Our new In-Person Drop-In Immigration Advising schedule at the Tempe campus is: 

  • Mondays from 1 to 3 p.m.
  • Tuesdays from 9 to 11 a.m.
  • Thursdays from 1 to 3 p.m.
  • Fridays from 9 to 11 a.m. (except 8/4/23)

Students interested in meeting with an advisor in person should come to the ISSC office on the Tempe campus and check in with our front desk. Students will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis. To meet with an advisor, you must check in with our front desk by 10:45 a.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays, and 2:45 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays.

We will also continue to offer Virtual Drop-in Immigration Advising for those who are unable to come to one of our offices to meet with an advisor in person. No matter where you are in Phoenix or around the U.S., you can join us for Virtual Drop-In Immigration Advising. Our new Virtual Drop-In Immigration Advising schedule will be: 

  • Mondays from 9 to 11 a.m.
  • Tuesdays from 1 to 3 p.m.
  • Thursdays from 9 to 11 a.m.
  • Fridays from 1 to 3 p.m.  (except 8/4/23)

The Zoom link for Virtual Drop-In Immigration Advising will continue to appear on our website during the times noted above for Virtual Drop-In Immigration Advising. You must make sure you are logged in to your ASU email account prior to clicking on the link. If you have issues with the link not appearing, please make sure your computer’s time is set to Arizona time and you have cleared your internet browser’s cache.
