Immediate action required

The International Students and Scholars Center is here to assist you with your academic and immigration-related needs.

A recent review of international student records indicates that you may be facing an academic challenge that could make it difficult for you to continue your studies at ASU in the upcoming semester. Please note that your immigration status has not been immediately impacted by your academic situation. You have until the beginning of the fall 2023 semester to resolve your academic situation.

Timeliness is critical in your situation. In order to maintain your immigration status for the fall 2023 semester, please review and follow the steps below as soon as possible before the semester starts:

  1. Check your ASU email and My ASU for details about your current academic situation.
  2. Follow any instructions in your email or Priority Tasks in My ASU.
  3. Contact your academic department or an advising unit about academic options to resolve your situation. Make sure you explore your academic options before contacting the ISSC.
  4. Contact the ISSC for advice about immigration options available to you.

Once you have followed these steps, you should have a plan for moving forward. Keep in mind, you will need to take action quickly in order to resolve everything before the start of the next semester. Because of time concerns, we strongly encourage you to have a backup plan in place in case your first plan does not work out. Please let us know if you have questions or concerns.
