Arizona State University’s International Students and Scholars Center is pleased to announce the opportunity for fall 2020 graduating students to apply for the Inspiring Global Citizens Award. In addition to recognizing the amazing work of our international Sun Devils, winners will receive a $500 award. Applications are being accepted now until 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 23.Inspiring Global Citizens AwardAccording to the Global Citizens’ Initiative, an inspiring global citizen is someone who identifies with being part of an emerging world community and whose actions (scholarship, leadership and ambassadorship) contribute to building community values and practices.Students interested in the award should provide evidence of the following:Scholarship — demonstrating a high level of achievement in their academic study or discipline (i.e., a 3.00 GPA or above for an undergraduate student and a 3.50 GPA or above for a graduate student).Leadership — demonstrating an ability to lead, guide and inspire others in their pursuit of academic and extracurricular objectives.Ambassadorship — demonstrating a commitment to raising awareness within ASU’s community on a social or cultural issue affecting their own community.Apply now If you have any questions, please contact the ISSC at iwelcome@asu.edu.
