During this session for international students, we will provide an overview of the various ways to search for jobs (part-time and full-time) and internships. Come ready to take notes and learn how to find positions that fit your experience, interests, and goals!

Whether you're hoping to create your first resume or make updates to your application materials, this session will give you the tools to draft a quality resume and cover letter. Open to all international students. Please bring a laptop if you have one. We hope to see you there!

Interested in getting a jump start on your career, or interested in getting a job? Come to our informational welcome event and learn about the Global Professional Preparation Academy (GPPA). The GPPA is a semester-long series for students to build their professional portfolios through workshops hosted by the ISSC, Career and Professional Development Services, and the WP Carey Business School. To join the academy you must attend our welcome event or contact us ahead of time! If you can not attend this semester, it will happen again in spring semester!

This is part 2 of the series, and will focus on the types of questions you might be asked in an interview, as well as, strategies for speaking to employers about work authorization. Cover letters are an important part of the U.S. hiring process, as they are routinely submitted as an application document along with your resume. In this session, we will discuss what cover letters are and share tips for crafting a standout document. See examples of effective cover letters and learn the dos and don’ts for preparing your own.
