International Graduate Resource Hub

The international graduate resources hub, located on Canvas, has been designed by international students to help incoming and current International students discover and understand many of the ASU and AZ community resources provided. As international students, we want to make sure you find what you need when you need it and make it fun. Therefore, we will release modules with new information on an ongoing basis to make it easy to understand and find what you need when you need it. So make sure to check your emails for updates from us on Canvas. Please use the discussion board to talk with each other, ask questions, and communicate with your Global Peer Mentors, who are there to answer questions, get to know you, and help you make ASU your new home.

As a first-semester international student, you will automatically be enrolled in this course. If you do not have access to this resource hub on your canvas homepage please contact the ISSC.

Learn Arizona

Discover Arizona beyond campus! These off-campus trips introduce graduate students to the state’s natural wonders, cultural sites, and practical destinations like grocery and home goods stores. Previous event topics included: shopping, biking, farmer’s markets, thrifting, hiking, and museums.

Global Peer Mentor Program

The Global Peer Mentor Program connects incoming international students with an experienced ASU student as your Global Peer Mentor. Your mentor can meet with you regularly and answer any questions you have throughout your first semester at ASU to help guide you every step of the way. They will also show you everything the campus offers by taking you to student events and connecting you to various resources to help you transition into the ASU campuses. Through this program, you will also have the opportunity to meet other international students through group activities and events designed to help you get connected.

Global Professional Preparation Programming (GPPP)

ISSC’s Global Professional Preparation Programming (GPPP) is a collection workshop for students to build their professional portfolios through workshops. The GPPA is designed to aid students in achieving academic and career success through training that will give them the “A-Z” on creating their professional profile. The GPPP will have a resume, cover letter, interview and networking workshops, community service opportunities, and more.
