Summer 2026 OPT (Post-OPT and STEM OPT) Open House Webinar Series

The ISSC is launching a new summer webinar series specifically for OPT students.  The Summer 2026 OPT (Post-OPT and STEM OPT) Open House Webinar Series is designed to provide students with general information about OPT. Each session will cover key topics such as USCIS guidelines, current trends, and practical advice to help students better understand employment authorization after graduation.

These sessions will not include individual case reviews; all information shared will be general in nature. All sessions will be held virtually via Zoom. These sessions will NOT be recorded.

This webinar will provide a quick overview of key immigration updates, including USCIS notices (RFEs and NOIDs), the biometrics process, important end-of-semester on-campus employment reminders, and the latest information on the USCIS pause and its potential impact.

June 3, 2026

This webinar will cover common EAD card issues, including delays, errors, and what to do if your card is lost or incorrect. We will also review unemployment limits, how to track your days, and the importance of staying within allowed timeframes to maintain your status.

This webinar will cover key OPT compliance topics, including how and when to report employment updates, the importance of maintaining proper documentation of your work and activities, and important considerations for international travel while on OPT to ensure a smooth re-entry to the U.S.

This webinar will focus on planning for life after OPT, including options such as transferring to another U.S. institution, continuing education at ASU, or changing status. We will also provide an overview of the transition to H-1B, including timelines, employer sponsorship, and key considerations as you plan your next steps in the U.S.
