Final OPT Job Search Resources and Reminders
This information is for all students who may be graduating either in spring or fall 2026 to offer assistance in starting the search for Optional Practical Training (OPT) opportunities upon graduation. If you are not graduating next year, don't worry, as you can still utilize these resources to get a head start.
ASU Career Services is an excellent resource for international students seeking employment opportunities. There are several ways to explore temporary and long-term employment to avoid accumulating your unemployment days:
- Volunteer with ASU professors while on Post-OPT. (Note: you cannot volunteer while on STEM OPT.)
- Summer Research Initiatives (SURI)
- Handshake
- Higher Education jobs within the U.S.
- Faculty/Staff jobs at ASU
Please remember that all work, including unpaid/volunteer work cannot begin until you have your Post-OPT EAD card in hand and the “valid from” date occurs.
