Important Tax Filing Reminder for International Students
The International Students and Scholars Center would like to remind you that the April 15 tax filing deadline is just one month away.
All international students and scholars must file tax forms with the U.S. Internal Revenue Service if they lived in the U.S. for any part of 2025, even if they did not earn income.
Arizona State University provides access to Sprintax, a tax preparation software for nonresidents.
You are not required to use Sprintax for your federal or state tax returns. However, most tax software, like TurboTax, does not support nonresident tax forms, so many international students cannot use them. Only visa holders who are considered residents for tax purposes should use programs like TurboTax.
