Sprintax access for 2025 tax filing

If you were present in the U.S. during any part of 2025, you must file tax forms with the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS). The forms you need depend on your tax residency status and whether you earned income from U.S. sources.

To help, ASU has partnered with Sprintax for tax filing assistance. You do not have to use Sprintax, but keep in mind that most tax software (like TurboTax) does not support nonresident tax forms. Only visa holders classified as residents for tax purposes can use programs like TurboTax.

Sprintax access

ASU has arranged access to Sprintax Tax Preparation to help you with your taxes. Sprintax will guide you through the process, prepare the necessary documents, and check if you qualify for a refund.

As part of this service, ASU will cover the cost of your federal tax return with a special code. You can also purchase state tax returns at a discounted rate.

Follow these steps to get started with Sprintax:

  1. Clear your internet browser’s cache to remove last year’s Sprintax information.
  2. Go to the ISSC Sprintax website and sign in with your ASU login.
  3. Register with Sprintax and follow the instructions.
  4. Complete the online questionnaire.
  5. The discount code for your federal tax return will automatically apply if you sign in using the ASU link.
  6. If you choose to purchase the discounted state returns, you’ll need to add a payment method.
  7. Sprintax will then prepare your tax return.

If the discount code doesn’t automatically apply to your federal tax return, make sure you accessed Sprintax through the ASU link. If the issue persists, contact Sprintax for help.

Reminder

As an ASU student or scholar, you are an authorized user of Sprintax. The unique discounted Sprintax code that you are provided through your Sprintax account can be used only once.
