The International Students and Scholars Center must register you in SEVIS to confirm your student status with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security upon your arrival to the U.S. Failure to maintain your student status will cause your SEVIS record to be terminated. All new and transfer (including ASU Global Launch) international students, and those returning to ASU after a semester or more away must complete SEVIS New Student Check-in on My ASU no later than Jan. 13, 2020. After you arrive in the U.S., you can use your smartphone or computer to complete your SEVIS Check-in. Report your arrival by following these two simple steps:  Upload copies of your immigration documents by signing in to My ASU and clicking on Complete SEVIS Check-in under your Priority Tasks.Update your local U.S. phone number, local U.S. address and SEVIS (home country) address online in My ASU by clicking the Profile tab. Failure to complete your SEVIS Check-in with the ISSC in a timely manner will result in the loss of your F-1 or J-1 status, and your SEVIS record will be terminated.  Please contact the ISSC at 480-727-4776 or issc@asu.edu with any questions. We look forward to seeing you on campus soon.
