Ever wondered what pursuing a Ph.D. is really like—both inside academia and beyond it? Join this interactive panel featuring two Ph.D. scholars: one from academia and one working in industry. They’ll share their experiences, insights, and advice on all things Ph.D.—from choosing a research topic and finding an advisor to managing workload, securing funding, navigating career paths, and staying motivated. Whether you're planning ahead or just exploring your options, this is your chance to hear it all, unfiltered and real, from both academic and industry perspectives.

Many students at ASU come from underrepresented cultural or ethnic backgrounds that may not have established student clubs on campus. This event is designed to give these “minorities within minorities” a dedicated space to gather, connect, and begin shaping their own community presence at ASU.
Through food, conversation, and collaboration, students will meet peers with similar experiences, celebrate their identities, and brainstorm the kinds of events, programs, or clubs they would like to see on campus.
Location: SSV Amphitheater
