The First Year Student Connect is a program designed for first year undergraduate students to connect with each other and learn tips on adjusting to new life and navigating resources at ASU. Through this program, you will be able to CONNECT with other students and the ISSC staff, LEARN tips on adjusting to a new culture and resources on and off campus, as well as learn opportunities such as getting involved on campus, volunteering, and on campus job search. You can also INFORM the ISSC team if there is anything else that we could do to enhance your first-year student experience.

How does fancy, local free food sound? If the answer is good, come to our free food tasting by ASU’s on-campus sustainable and local restaurant; Engrained? Never heard of it, even better, come check it out, and while you’re at it learn how to “eat like a local.” The Learn Arizona: Engrained event collaborates with the on-campus restaurant Engrained for a food tasting centered around local food and sustainability.

Roll your dice and be the board game King or Queen for the night! ISSC and the library will have a table top game night once a month on the 2nd Wednesday of every month in Hayden Library for international students, as well as domestic students! This event is great to get to know other students as well as librarians and the library resources. If you have a board game you would like to request for one of our game nights, please let us know in advance and we will request it!
