Graduating? What’s next?
As an F-1 student, you have a 60-day grace period after your degree completion to:
- Apply for Optional Practical Training (OPT)
- Start a new program at ASU
- Transfer to a new institution
- Apply for a change in visa status
- Leave the U.S.
Please note that you cannot continue on-campus employment after completing your degree.
If you want to apply for OPT, you must request a Post-OPT I-20 from the ISSC and file an I-765 application with USCIS before your 60-day grace period ends. Don’t wait—submit your Post-OPT I-20 Request eForm to the ISSC as soon as possible.
