Scholar travel signatures
J-1 scholars and J-2 dependents are required to have valid travel signatures on their DS-2019 forms when returning to the U.S. to continue their J-1 programs.
DS-2019 form is not issued by ASU,
If your DS-2019 form is not issued by ASU, you must contact your J-1 program sponsor in regards to your travel signature.
Travel signatures are valid for 12 months
Travel signatures are valid for 12 months from the date signed or until the DS-2019 expiration date, whichever comes first
How to request a travel signature
To request a travel signature, submit the J-1 Scholar Travel Signature eForm through the ISSC eForm Portal via the J-1 Scholar Services tab.
