On July 17, 2026, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security published a final rule eliminating Duration of Status for certain nonimmigrant students and exchange visitors. The rule was scheduled to take effect on September 15, 2026. Please visit our Duration of Status Rule Change webpage for additional information and updates.

Update: On September 14, 2026, a U.S. federal judge has issued an order blocking the new rules from going into effect at this time. As a result, the new rules will not take effect on September 15, 2026, and the current immigration rules remain in place while the court case continues.

Connecting Phoenix

From the Assistant Dean of Students at the Downtown campus:

We’re excited to introduce Connecting Phoenix, a high-impact program created to bring our state's college talent closer to the professionals and industries that make this region thrive.

Connecting Phoenix, presented by AT&T, brings college students face-to-face with mentors at all stages of their professional journeys. Participants will hear authentic stories, learn practical advice, and engage in conversations that can expand their networks and open doors to future professional internships, collaborations, and career opportunities.

The deadline to register is March 20, 2026, or until program capacity is reached.

Please note this event is not hosted by ISSC.

Location: The Heard Museum (2301 N Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85004)
